P 9-49    Exercise 9-33, should read. (Change is shown red.)
A ride in a playground consists of a large turntable of radius 2.00 m which rotates freely about a fixed vertical axis. A child of mass 19.0 kg is standing on the turntable right at its outer edge, and the system is initially rotating at an angular speed of 0.500 rev/s. The child then moves to a position 1.00 m from the centre of the turntable. What does the turntable's angular speed become? The moment of inertia of the turntable by itself is 400 kg.m2. Assume that the child can be treated as a point particle.
