The most convenient way to travel to Guelph from the Toronto Pearson Airport (and back) is to use the Red Car door-to-door shuttle service. Please contact Red Car directly to make a reservation. Each trip costs $52.00. Once you have arrived at the airport, Red Car can be found at the Ground Transportation desk of Terminal 1, 2, and 3.
For those who are planning to also attend the workshop Black Holes IV: Theory and Mathematical Aspects at the Delawanna Inn, transportation from Honey Harbour to Guelph will be arranged on Wednesday, May 28.
If you decide to make your own way to Guelph (say by renting a car) from the Toronto Pearson Airport, you may follow these directions:
As you leave the airport, follow the road signs to Highway 401 West, which leads in the direction away from Toronto. Most of your journey is on Hwy 401 West. After traveling for approximately 40 minutes, you will see 2 exits (north) to Guelph. Take the first of these exits, which is County Road 46 (Brock Road). When you reach Guelph, Road 46 becomes Gordon Street. Continue on Gordon Street until you see the Day's Inn on your left. The Ramada Inn then very quickly appears on your right. Both are very visible. The campus is just beyond these two hotels, i.e. is beyond the intersection of Gordon St. and Stone Road. The residence halls can be found at that southern-most edge of campus.
Residence check-in will take place at Lambton Hall, which is located on Watson Lane at the northern edge of campus. The phone number of the Lambton Hall Desk is (519) 824-4120 x58121.
