Abstract

In this very special edition of the GSS, come observe an advice panel made up of resident grad students. The focus of discussion is on the search for and application to graduate programs. Panelists will each relate their own experiences, detailing how they got to where they are. They will impart their wisdom on topics such as finding the right supervisor, applying internationally, and which exams and scholarships to look into. In addition, the panel will be wide open to any questions that audience members may have concerning this subject matter. This should be a great session for anyone thinking about where they may be going after a Bachelor’s degree, either in physics or beyond.

Graduate Seminar Series

The seminar series consists of weekly talks designed and delivered by graduate students within the department. The goal of this project is to expose upper-level undergraduates to current physics research. The talks are aimed at the fourth-year level, but all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Snacks will be provided at 12:30.
