From the University of Guelph's Campus Bulletin:

University of Guelph research will be on public display with new street banners being installed this week along Gordon Street and Stone Road.

Each lamppost banner will bear the name and photo of one of Guelph’s 35 Canada Research Chairs (CRCs).

“We wanted to draw attention to the importance of research at Guelph and to the diverse work of our CRCs over the past 13 years,” said Kevin Hall, vice-president (research).

“Our chair holders have exceptional creative capacity that reaches across the institution. They’ve examined unexplored frontiers and have helped strengthen our research expertise. They’re also committed to sharing their discoveries and innovations, helping Guelph research make a difference in people’s lives.” ...more about the project on the University's Campus Bulletin website
