Excellence in Graduate Supervision Award 

This award recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional mentorship and sustained excellence in graduate supervision. Recipient: Dr. Paul Garrett. 

Dr. Garrett is recognized for his long-standing commitment to graduate student mentorship in Physics. He creates a collaborative and supportive research environment and is known for helping students develop independence, confidence and strong research skills. His mentorship has supported the success of graduate students across a wide range of academic and professional paths. 

Excellence in Undergraduate Research Supervision Award 

This award recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional mentorship in undergraduate research. Recipient: Dr. John Dutcher. 

Dr. Dutcher is recognized for his sustained excellence in undergraduate research supervision over a distinguished career. He has mentored many undergraduate students, providing access to research opportunities, conference experiences and publication pathways. His student-centred approach has supported career success across academia, industry and beyond.
