My function as Administrative Assistant is to provide a direct and effective line of communication and action between the Department and the University Academic and Administrative Departments. I am responsible for a wide variety of functions which support the teaching, research and service activities of the department. My activities can be grouped into three main categories; management of the departmental budget, office manager, and support for the department's compliance with federal, provincial, University etc. policies, procedures and regulations (ie. employment and educational equity regulations, immigration legislation, Human Resources policies and procedures including Promotion and Tenure, Graduate and Undergraduate policies and procedures, and other applicable legislative and licensing requirements).
