1. A baby's "jolly jumper" consists of a seat (assume massless) attached to the end of an ideal spring, with the other end of the spring securely fastened to the ceiling. When a 10 kg baby is put into the seat, the spring lengthens by 0.30 m. When seat and baby are pulled down a further 0.45 m and released, the whole system goes into simple harmonic motion.
(a) How fast is the baby travelling at the equilibrium position?
(b) How long after the release time does the baby reach a point 0.20 m above the equilibrium position?
