Faculty Profile

We do theoretical work on strongly interacting systems. We study phenomena at the interface of ultracold atoms and nuclear physics, the physics of neutron-star crusts and cores, as well as neutron-rich nuclei. Our work touches upon concepts from nuclear & particle theory, astrophysics, and AMO physics. In essence, this research is focused on solving the quantum many-body problem.

A large part of our work would not be possible without the use of modern supercomputing facilities, including SHARCNET, the (US) National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC),  and the Juelich Supercomputing Center.
