- Review of vector calculus (Chp. 2)
- Electrostatics (Chp. 3): review; Green’s function; multipole expansion
- Electric currents (Chp. 7): review
- Magnetostatics (Chp. 8): review; vector potential; magnetic dipole
- Electromagnetic induction (Chp. 10): review
- Maxwell’s Equations (Chp. 11): displacement current, scalar and vector potentials,
Maxwell’s equations in matter, energy and momentum of EM fields, EM waves in vacuum - Applications - Some or all of the following:
– Wave guides and transmission lines (Chp. 14)
– Generation of EM waves (Chp 15)
– EM in astrophysics
