Abstract

Are you sick of poster sessions? As a presenter you’re desperately trying to get people’s attention, but even if someone does walk up to you it’s hard to know where to start. As part of the audience, you’re searching for something interesting, or even just understandable, but there’s too much to process. The common poster layout is made to look impressive, but does a bad job of actually communicating information. So let’s try something new: the Better Poster by Mike Morrison. Join me to learn how to make an engaging, informative poster with less effort than you might expect!

There will be snacks available throughout the talk in MacN 222, as well as refreshments available beforehand in the lunchroom on the 2nd floor of MacN.
