Transit of Mercury

The planet Mercury will pass in front of the sun (as Venus did in 2012) on Monday, May 9 and the observatory will have its telescopes (with proper solar filters) following the event.  Members and friends of the university community are welcome to stop up  from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM weather permitting.
