David Bolton successfully defended his MSc Thesis on September 6th, 2017: "Amide proton assignments of partially deuterated Anabaena Sensory Rhodopsin, investigation of solvent exchangeability and deuterium isotope effects".

PhysPhest is a celebration of the research being conducted in the Physics Department by M.Sc. and Ph.D. students who are completing their first year in the program. This year, PhysPhest was held on September 6th with 10 students presenting their research to the department in a series of short (~ 10 - 12 minute) talks. The best speakers were selected by the general audience.

The top speakers for 2017 are:

Hurmiz Shamana successfully defended his MSc Thesis on August 30th, 2017: "Rheology of Aqueous Dispersions of Phytoglycogen Nanoparticles".

Emilia Illes successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis on August 22, 2017: "Properties of the α-T3 Model".
